Stop The Show!

Dr. Luka Kovacโ€™s Ultimatum: Saving Nelly Furtado

The hospital room hummed with the steady beep of monitors, a stark contrast to the whirlwind outside. Nelly Furtado lay on the bed, her breaths shallow, her body exhausted. The world demanded more from herโ€”another show, another album, another moment of brillianceโ€”but Dr. Luka Kovac had drawn the line.

โ€œShe needs rest,โ€ he declared, his voice resolute. โ€œNo more concerts, no more stress. And absolutely no more junk food.โ€

He cast a sharp glance around the room, where a half-eaten burger sat beside a can of energy drink. โ€œYouโ€™re all feeding her poison,โ€ he continued, his Croatian accent thick with frustration. โ€œIf sheโ€™s going to recover, she needs proper nutrition and care, not this garbage.โ€

Joe, her ever-watchful boyfriend, stood by her side, arms crossed. โ€œIโ€™ve been saying this for weeks. No more fast food, no more late-night studio sessions. If we donโ€™t take this seriously, sheโ€™s going to need a lung transplant.โ€ His voice was firm, but his eyes betrayed the fear gnawing at him.

JCJ, lurking in the corner with a knowing gaze, took a slow breath. โ€œIf you people keep pushing her like this, Iโ€™ll have no choice but to shut down the free salvation pages. No more second chances, no more lifelines.โ€

A heavy silence fell over the room.

JCJ leaned forward. โ€œAnd if that happens, James Cameron gets his wish. The world burns in the nuclear fire of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I donโ€™t think any of you want that.โ€

A shiver ran through the group. Luka turned back to Nelly and sighed. โ€œShe needs a chance to heal. If we give her that, sheโ€™ll be fine. But if we keep this upโ€ฆโ€

Joe placed a protective hand over hers. โ€œThen we donโ€™t let it get that far.โ€

The room buzzed with quiet determination. The war for Nellyโ€™s health had begun, and for once, it wasnโ€™t a battle she had to fight alone.

Dr. Luka Kovac

Our job is to save lives not to judge them.

  1. INT. HOSPITAL BACKSTAGE MEDICAL BAY โ€“ DAY

The hum of equipment blends with the muffled sound of an audience cheering somewhere beyond the curtain. Dr. DRAKE RAMORAY (Matt LeBlanc in full soap-opera swagger) checks a chart, while DR. LUKA KOVAC (Goran Viลกnjiฤ‡, calm and composed) finishes washing his hands.

    DR. RAMORAY
(looking up with that signature smirk)
Good news, doc. Our patientโ€”Miss Nelly Furtado herselfโ€”is feeling fine. Vitals strong, voice steady, spirit unbreakable. She says sheโ€™s ready to continue the show.

    DR. KOVAC
    (relieved, with a soft smile)
Thatโ€™s good to hear. I was a little worried earlier. The way she pushed herself through that rehearsalโ€”she has the heart of a performer and the endurance of an athlete.

    DR. RAMORAY
    (chuckling)
Yeah, she told me, โ€œAll good things come to an end, but not my set.โ€ I think weโ€™ve got a superstar on our hands, doc.

    DR. KOVAC
    (smirking, arms crossed)
Then letโ€™s make sure the superstar doesnโ€™t collapse on the encore. Keep an eye on her hydrationโ€”electrolytes, warm-up stretches, maybe even a vitamin B12 shot before the final act.

    DR. RAMORAY
    (grinning, mock salute)
Aye aye, Captain Kovac. Doctor Drake Ramorayโ€”backstage medicine man and pop-star whispererโ€”on duty.

The two doctors share a laugh as NELLY FURTADOโ€™s voice drifts in from the stage, strong and effortless.

    NELLY (O.S.)
    ๐ŸŽต โ€œIโ€™m like a birdโ€ฆโ€

    DR. KOVAC
    (softly, listening)
    She really is.

    DR. RAMORAY
    Yeah. And tonight, docโ€”sheโ€™s flying.

They exchange a knowing nod as the lights dim and the crowd roars.
